DownCity Design

Sylvan Learning of Rhode Island

Ace it!, powered by Sylvan Learning Center, has partnered with the City of Providence and Providence Public Schools to offer a FREE summer learning program for PPSD students.

This program is designed for students entering grades 1–6 and features engaging instruction in reading and math, along with enriching writing, STEM, and elective activities. These activities help reinforce essential academic skills and keep students prepared for the upcoming school year.

The full-day, five-week program runs Monday through Friday from July 6 through August 7 and will be held at a local Providence school.

Boys and Girls Club of Providence

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence (BGCP) will operate a free, six-week Summer Learning Program for students in grades K–5, running Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 P.M., designed to prevent summer learning loss and ensure students return to school confident, prepared, and academically ready.

College Visions Summer Prep

CV Summer Prep is a 5-week college and career exploration program for rising 9th–12th graders who live in Providence. Through hands-on activities, projects, field trips, and special events, students explore college and career options, prepare for the college application process, set academic and personal goals, and develop skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Generation Teach STEAM Academy

GENERATION TEACH STEAM ACADEMY (GTSA) is a dynamic, engaging 5-week academic enrichment program for current 5th–7th grade students. Our students learn, create, build, design, and grow together in small classes with caring teachers. Students take classes in engineering, math, reading, and law, and participate in enrichment classes, field trips, and fun competitions.

Federal Hill House Summer Camp

Our affordable summer camp in Providence is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and adventure in children grades 1-7, all while building friendships and making lifelong memories. With exciting weekly themes, outdoor exploration, arts & crafts, team games, field trips, and swimming, every day is packed with fun and discovery. Our caring and dedicated staff ensure a safe, welcoming environment where kids can grow, learn, and thrive—because we believe that learning happens everywhere, not just in the classroom! Federal Hill House 21st Century Learning Center Program

Our free 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) summer program provide Harry Kiziran and Asa Messer students with six weeks of exciting, hands-on learning in a fun and supportive environment! Summer should be a time of exploration and enrichment, which is why our approach combines fun, engaging experiences that spark curiosity and creativity; a focus on literacy and English language development to support strong communication skills; hands-on, experiential learning that brings lessons to life; meaningful relationships with caring adults and supportive peers. Providence After-School Alliance

Hub Financial Literacy

PASA Financial Literacy Camp is a high school summer program for students attending the following schools: Hope High School and Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex. (Limited spots are also available for neighborhood youth.) PASA Financial Literacy Camp is operated by the Providence After School Alliance (PASA). The summer session will begin Monday, July 6th and will continue through Friday, July 31st.

Summer Camp 2026 Dates:
● Programs will run for a total of 4 weeks (July 6th – July 31st): Monday – Friday, 9:00AM-1:30PM. Students arrive at 9AM and will receive breakfast, snack and lunch during program. Students have their first block of programs from 10:00AM -11:30AM, Lunch will be from 11:30 – 12:00PM. Students will then have their second block of programs from 12:00-1:30 PM. Both A and B block will be facilitated by The FLY Intiative.

● Students are dismissed from programs at 1:30PM. PASA will provide RIPTIX to support student transportation between home and the summer camp site.
● Friday’s will be Field Trip/Career Development Days, students will be bussed to offsite location.

All programs will be located at Providence Career and Technical Academy , 41 Fricker St, Providence, RI.

All students that attend the program for a minimum of 15 days of programming will be receive a $599.00 stipend for their participation in the program!

Programs are free, and students are enrolled on a first come-first served basis. Families will receive either written confirmation or a phone call letting them know if their student has been accepted for the camp.

Students who do not comply with the Hub code of conduct can be removed from programs.

Inspiring Minds

The KidsBridge Summer Learning Program provides rising kindergartners who have not yet had a high-quality early learning experience with a six-week, full-day program to help them learn the norms and routines of school.

KidsBridge students are taught by certified, experienced teachers with support from Providence’s high school workforce and trained community volunteers. The program is fun and engaging and children learn through play! Parents/family members are also supported through ongoing parent engagement events and workshops.

To be eligible, your student must be age 5 on September 1 and attending Kindergarten in a Providence public school in Fall 2026. Priority is given to students who have not attended a full year of preschool or pre-K. KidsBridge is offered free of charge.
